Ensoma for adults
with Zoë Valerie

skill and flexibility

Every Wednesday 19:30-21:00 at Casa Lucia.
Ensoma is a place where…
• The self constricting mechanisms we adopt and accept as our own nature can cease to operate.
• Wisdom, knowledge and understanding swim away from the confines of the mind/brain and flood the entire body.
• The ultimate intelligence of the foot teaches the heart a thing or two.
• You remember clearly that the body contains many brains and that the one between the ears has many limitations when separated from the others.
• You stay in the spiral of life and out of the box of conviction.
• The body and mind melt back into each other and their unity stays soft, powerful and flexible.
• The skill, the wisdom, of joy is deeply, fully, unforgettably embodied.
I believe that we have the capacity to evolve beyond what we have become accustomed to accept as our human limits.
I believe this after watching people who should stay crooked become straight, people who should never be able to use their arms again wave them around in celebration, people who should stay afraid sing their love for life loud and clear, people who should not be alive be alive and kicking.
I believe this after watching people, young and old, change what should be into what they wish it to be.

Booking necessary.
We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

On the 9th of May Marcello Windolph will be guest teacher for the “Ensoma for adults” class (10:30-12 at Casa Lucia). You will have the opportunity to experience his method which combines many of the elements that we also work with such as sensorial education and re-education and approaching our material body via the fascia.
You can learn more here. I also recommend the workshop he will be giving while visiting the island as well as the individual sessions he will offer from the 5th to the 15th of May.

Ensoma at the Corfu Dance Festival

http://www.corfudancefestival.com/

..ABOUT DANCE and HER INNER CALL:
«Dance for me is a place where the self constricting mechanisms we adopt and accept as our own nature can cease to operate.
Dance is a place where wisdom, knowledge and understanding swim away from the confines of the mind/brain and flood the entire body. It is a place where the ultimate intelligence of the foot teaches the heart a thing or two. In dance you remember clearly that the body contains many brains and that the one between the ears has many limitations when separated from the others. Dance keeps you in the spiral of life and out of the box of conviction.

There is no choice about sharing this with the world, no inner calling, it is its nature to be shared. I exist, I move, I dance, it’s shared.»

..ABOUT HER WISHES FOR CORFU DANCE FESTIVAL PARTICIPANTS:
«I wish for the body and mind to melt back into each other and for their unity to be able to stay soft, powerful and flexible. No matter what. I wish for the skill, the wisdom, of joy to be deeply, fully, unforgettably embodied.»

…ABOUT HER PHILOSOPHY IN ONE SENTENCE:
“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” ~ George Bernard Shaw

…ABOUT INSPIRING STORY AND BIGGEST LESSON LEARNED THROUGH DANCE:
«I believe that we have the capacity to evolve beyond what we have become accustomed to accept as our human limits.
I believe this after watching people who should stay crooked become straight, people who should never be able to use their arms again wave them around in celebration, people who should stay afraid sing their love for life loud and clear, people who should not be alive be alive and kicking.
I believe this after watching people, young and old, change what should be into what they wish it to be.»
